its just a name!!they dont mean much it could just mean a minor part of the show cause it had loads of hacking, for example why are apple jacks called apple jacks they dont look or taste like apples, and also wut about swordfish the movie? i mean the only thing that had swordfish in it was the codename and the password not exactly a big part of the movie....

CMIIW, at first, before it was published, the name wasn't .hack, wasn't it treasure hunter or something? ^^;;

But I dunno why they changed it into .hack anyway Xb Mayb dottohakku sounds cooler.
