Actually, the Piroshi being a CC employee is confirmed. They mention this in the Easter Eggs of Liminality #2.

He's more of a "mascot" of CyberConnect2 (the real company that helps with the .hack games)

I read through most of it yesterday, and I thought it was okay overall, but some of it seems like it's guesswork or only half-serious. ^^;

I did think that the information they had on the origins of some of the names were interesting, though... Like how the names "Mistral" and "Mireille" are connected ("Mireille" is the title of a poem by Frederic Mistral).

Well, I remember Bear's name - or possibly just his pen name - is shown in SIGN, Ryo (or however it should be read) Sakuma. It says in the book that BT's name is shown on notice she gets in episode 17 and that it's Machiko.

That's in the second volume of the manga... They also mention that Kaz and BlackRose's family had moved away by the time it takes place.

It says that? I thought it just said that Werewolf was a special class that is only available to Knuckle Masters/Kickboxers.
