She has no purpose, and now the players of The World don't wear a full body suit. Well they can but it has no purpose of the game, and they'd have to make their own. As for the girl, there has been some spectulation that she's what Morganna looks like, but that's most likely not true. I even heard somewhere that she's Emma, which I really doubt, but then again she might be.

Well, I'm not sure what to make of it, but in .hack//GIFT, the scene where she 'dives' into the waters (at the end of the opening) she's replaced by Helba. ^^;
Come with me in the twilight of a summer night for awhile
Tell me of a story never ever told in the past
well that's actually logical, from Reki's review. But if you search deep into Cyber-slum, you'll find the answer: About 13 threads have been made about this, and we still don't know.
You're only young once, but you're NEVER too old to be immature.
I had come to the conclusion it was Morganna, mainly formt he scene when she is floating paralell to Aura in the sky at the very end of the introduction, also the english translation of obsession might help explain it a bit. -.^.
I'm sure it's the what Morganna [really] looks like, but I'm no expert.

What?? Obsession is sung in English o.O and even by reading the lyrics, it makes no sense:
"deep in the night
far off the light
missing my headache
visions of light
sweeter delight
kissin' my loveache
how come I must know
where obsession needs to go?
how come I must know
where the passion hides its feelings?
how come I must know
where obsession needs to go?
how come I must know
the direction of relieving?"
Read it again and imagine it being the thoughts of Morganna, if you've seen //SIGN, you know what she wants, so picture it that way. It's all one big masta' plan XD.

To me, the Dancing Woman looks more like real-life BT. In the one episode we see that her hair is the same length and roughly the same style, she has the same body type ... and didn't she used to be a model? So she could probably dance like that. It was when she puts on the visor and logs in that I suddenly realized it, because that scene parallels the SIGN opening!
