"Mia, your memories..."

Post by thedudewhosadude »

[poor paragraph structure]The way that Mia finds out about her 'phase-side' is because she can't remember anything outside of "The World." She also doesn't remember anything about Maha. Well, she remembers some things about her past, such as the image of Tsukasa. But, when she was Data Drained as Maha, she lost all her memories. As Mia she didn't know about her past as Maha. As the phases were defeated, she started to see what was going on. I think that the reason why she started to hate Kite is because of her instincts as a phase. The phases started to get 'smarter', in my opinion, as time went on. Thus they started to view Kite as a definate threat. She knew Kite was going to touch her, even before he did, without even turning around. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" "STAY BACK!" After you killed Macha, the only thing that Mia said was, "Oh Elk, thank you." As we all know Data Drain causes temporary memory loss. It would seem that Mia has a 'system reset' feature, as she can remember Elk at the time. At the end of the infamous 'Mia dungeon' Mia has a System Reset. She reverts back to a time where she only knew about Elk, hence the conversation that goes on. "Mia!" "Hey Elk." "That's a unique bracelet." "Mia, your memories..." "Mind if I have a look?" "Can you see it?" "Yes of course! You mean to say you can't see this nice bracelet? Well as long as you know it's there, it's the same thing as seeing it, right?" However, something is missing. In her first conversation with you, she also added at the end, "Well thanks a lot for letting me see your bracelet. I have a feeling we'll meet again." Also in that same scene, right before Kite walked in, her ears twitched and she started running towards Kite, as if she senced something. So maybe when Mia was reborn, she was reset, but Kite had drained the Macha data from her. Due to Data Drain, she lost her memories. I also noticed something interesting with the //SIGN characters. According to their e-mails, they can't remember some stuff (except for Sora). Only Tsukasa and Sora were Data Drained, but Suburu still has missing memories. This is because they are memory fragments, if i am not mistaken. Sora can also see the bracelet. Maybe getting Data Drained takes away from you, but also adds on. Maybe it adds on the ability to see things others can't. So maybe all of the memory fragments came from System Reset saves. Suburu doesn't remember disbanding the Crimson Knights, and i don't think Tsukasa knows about Aura's awakening (i screwed up on his e-mails x.x) However, it appears that their 'elightenment of AI awareness' comes from certain key phrases. If i'm not mistaken, you can say to Tsukasa Mimiru's rant. "The net is the same as the real world!" I think that triggers something in Tsukasa. These are just my thoughts compiled into one biggggg stack. Please feel free to post your thoughts. [/poor paragraph structure]

In Tsukasa's e-mail, if you tell him Aura awoken, thanks to him, then I think he mentions he remembers it... I forget x_x; W/e.

From Mia's e-mails though, after she says something about Kite changing her fate... I get the impression she knew she was an AI (not necessarily a Phase, an AI) all along.

But I do agree, I think Tsukasa, Subaru and Sora are memory fragments (I had a dream about that last night o_O; ). While Tsukasa (definately) and Sora, I can understand fragments of them becomming a part of "The World" due to Data Draining, I can't see why Subaru would join in the fragmenting fun, since she never was Data Drained. I dunno.. O_o;

Well they're like the residents of Net Slum, player character data that was abandoned by the user, but was given an intelligence of it's own due to the nature of The World itself.

I'd imagine that anybody who plays The World regulary could have their data become an A.I. were a hacker to revive their data.

Anyway, Mia may still be Macha, but with Morganna gone she is able to finally fulfill her true purpose, interaction with Humans.

Damn, I forgot what I was going to put!

*Slowly laughs at thedudewhosadude for screwing up his emails, heheheh*

Anyways, she didn't completely lose all of her memories...

She still remembers but vaguely, about the Bracelet(as the result of the second time showing it to Mia)

And the emails when Tsukasa..

Tsukasa finally remembered the he was the one who woke up Aura(and later was thanked by Kite)

And later Sora remembered that he was the one who got DD'ed by Morganna for being a jackass.

Subaru, didn't remember the fact that she was a part of the Crimson Knights nor the fact that she later realized that the Knights were disbanded due to her weakness... but Kite re-assured her that she wasn't the only one that was weak, Kite was weak at one point thinking that he was the only one that was doing about the situation that's going on in the World(blames Lios for not doing anything about it).

I also agree that Mia did not fully lose her memories after all the data draining going on,what about Unison?

When she saw Tsukasa, she said,I dont know you...
and Tsukasa gives her the Aromatic Grass, she starts to cry,not knowing why she is crying for this person at all.
That right there,is a slight hint that a little bit of Maha's memories are inside of Mia.

Maybe it wasn't just the Data Draining. At the end of the game (after Corbenik's elimination) someone, maybe Wiseman, said something about Aura and Morganna being born only after dieing first or something like that.

When I heard that I strarted to remember a special phrase but I can't remember it completely.

It was something like, "Through the pain of life and death we are binded. We search for who we are yet may never find the answer."

Maybe going through life and death makes you forget things.

Does this make sence to anyone?

It seems to. Some believers in reincarnation say that you will only remember certain things in your new life, and even then, you won't know why.

Hmm....

I think I have a couple of memories like that.

Glad it made sence. I'm in kind of a slump today.

Damn wiseman is such a smart bastid!

anyways..

Wiseman said that.. about apothecy..(I didn't quite understand what he said.. but it made total sense to me.)

but all i know is that yes, Aura had to die first then get reborn.

I think Balmung said that.
