The games are set in the "first season" of the .hack series, taking place after SIGN and ZERO. The collection of games are sometimes referred to as a Tetralogy by official sources, a Quadrilogy or by the abbreviation "IMOQ" by fans, taking the first letter in each consecutive game's western title in order (Infection, Mutation, Outbreak, Quarantine). Synopsis
Plot
君のPCは、ソフトウェア使用許諾に反している。
「僕は友達を助けたい！……ただそれだけなのに」ただそれだけなのに、その行動は管理者側には秩序破壊にしか映らなかった。「The World」内の根源を突き止めるために、カイトは新しい街で新しい仲間と奮闘を重ねるが、ついに管理者側の強制排除という事態に直面することに。しかし、そのとき”彼女”がその意思を見せ始める……。[1]
