.hack//AI buster 2 (Japanese: .hack//AI buster, Hepburn: .hack//AI buster) is a is a collection of stories, some of which were featured in other publications before being collected in this volume. 2nd Character (Story #1) is a retelling of the events of AI buster from the perspective of Hokuto. Wotan's Spear (Story #2) is a follow up to AI buster which takes place during the events of .hack//SIGN and is told from the perspective of Albireo.
The final three stories give additional backstory to characters from .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet. Kamui (Story #3) details how Kamui was affected by what happened to Albireo and how that impacted her future actions in .hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet. Rumor (Story #4)
Firefly (Story #5)
Both the English and Japanese releases stylize the title as .hack//AI buster with a lowercase "b."
