【ストーリー】 ネットワークゲーム「The World」での異変（「.hack//SIGN」及びPS2ゲーム）に一区切りがついた頃、カイトとバルムンク、オルカはモルナガの残滓を抹消すべく、まだ戦っていた。そんな中、ヘルバからネットスラムへの誘いが届く。そこでミミルはブラックローズに出会い、司はエルクに出会う。事件に関係した者たちが集い、そしてまた新たなドラマを生み出していく��。
【ストーリー】 ネットワークゲーム「The World」を制作・運営しているCC社（サイバーコネクト社）。そんなCC社で「The World」の日本語版ディレクターを務めていた徳岡純一郎と、彼に協力する三人の女子高生の物語。ゲーム世界の謎を、リアルタイムに現実世界から解明していく。
【ストーリー】 いつものように「The World」でプレイするシューゴ、レナ、ミレイユ、凰花。そこにほたるからメールが入る。その内容は、三十郎とはぐれしまったので助けて欲しいというものだった。だがそれは、ネットの中の話ではなく、現実世界の出来事で��。果たして、シューゴたちはほたるに会うことができるのか？
