■ Tsukasa[1] ■ Wavemaster He is an online player who is unable to log out from "The World." He hates associating with people, and frequently runs away by warping out. He travels with the barbell monster "Guardian," given to him by Morganna and defeats any player who gets in his way. He gradually opens up to Mimiru and the others. |

■ Mimiru[1] ■ Heavy Blade She always tries to do the right thing and is like a big sister to Tsukasa. She acts before she thinks and shows a wide range of emotions. She hates playing in groups, and for that reason, does not like the Crimson Knights. She worries about Tsukasa being unable to log out and tries very hard to be his friend. In the real world, she is a 15-year-old girl in high school. |

■ Bear[1] ■ Blademaster He looks buff, but he is kind and cheerful. He is very cool-headed and logical. He learns about Tsukasa and begins an investigation in both the real world and the game world. In the real world, he is a divorced 47 year old writer with a son. He may be trying to fulfill his role as a father which he was unable to accomplish with his own son by involving himself with Tsukasa. |

■ Subaru[1] ■ Heavy Axeman She is the leader of the Crimson Knights, and is admired in "The World." She met Tsukasa as a leader of a volunteer group, but she eventually opens up to him. ■ Crim[1] ■ Long Arm He founded the Crimson Knights with Subaru. Even after he leaves the Knights, he looks after Subaru. He has a very strong sense of justice and believes in his values and hates anything that is immoral. He is also a high level player known as the "Red Lightning" and is on par with Tsukasa's Guardian. In the real world he is a businessman who is frequently on business trips. |

■ BT[1] ■ Wavemaster She is a calculating strategist who is knowledgeable and excels in offensive magic.
