Around the time the games were being developed, Japanese internet had a maximum download speed of 1.5Mbps (in the year 2000).[1] In 2002, when Infection was originally released, it was 12Mbps. By the standards of that time, 100Mbps would have been an impressive upgrade. In 2010, 100Mbps was available in South Korea but the prices weren't considered affordable for the general public.[2]
